Earth overshoot day

This week we reached Earth Overshoot Day in Denmark and Finland

This week we reached Earth Overshoot Day in Denmark and Finland. Next week, we hit it in the Netherlands. Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity's demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year. This is a occasion to pause and reflect about the fact that we - as a global population - at present consume resources as if we had 1.7 planets. And it's a day to reevaluate if we - all of us - do enough to reverse this trend. We can do better.
